I hope someone gives it a shot, preferably someone earnest and reputable. I'd be surprised if there was nothing there.

I would be quite surprised of there was anything there - if by anything, you mean American soldiers deliberately shooting someone they knew was a journalist. There will be reporters who get into combat zones despite the military who get shot or caught in crossfires, of that I'm sure. But it's not the same as deliberate targeting.

RE: The military deliberately targeting journalists, you
said, "I'd be surprised if there was nothing there."

Uh huh. That's why Jordan resigned. He knows he had real
evidence supporting all of his lies, 'er allegations
documented by the bloggers, but he chose to resign in
disgrace instead. And that's why Jordan didn't even bother to
ask for the release of the tape. He knew it would completely
exonerate him & prove the zealous right wing pajamahedeen
bloggers to be wrong.

No doubt he fell on his sword due to the false allegations
from the pajamahedeen. Eason Jordan couldn't possibly have
fought back with CNN News reporting all of Jordan's evidence
to expose the military & zealous right wing bloggers for the
evil vermin they are.

Ya right! I got some primo swamp land for you too.

I'd be surprised if there was nothing there. If Jordan had made an innocent remark, I'm sure by now that people would have come forward and ALL quoted the same remark. AND that Jordan himself would have requested the Davos conference chair to release the video....

I haven't seen the video yet....Have you?

I'll be surprised if there is ANYTHING there, except the quotes as described by the folks who were there.
