I rarely feel the need to post on a thread that has long ban lists. If I agree with the nature of the thread then I can't imagine contributing much of interest. If, I disagree with the nature of the thread then I am simply asking to be included on the ban lists. Of course there are always exceptions. Most threads have a diversity of topics, some serious and some just fun. B'sides sometimes I get some information that is useful elsewhere. Laz is not saying that he is against banning. So, I don't know why you want to press that issue. He has stated that it is the left wingers who have threads with long ban lists and this is not true. You can find examples of this on both extremes. There may be some differences in thread management but that isn't one. There are a couple of left wing threads that I post on that have no bans or just a few (I usually get to be one of the few).
