I was thinking the same. Productiviy declines usually presage more equipment spending. I think companies are as lean as they are going to get right now. So further growth will have to include more CAPEX and more hiring of employees. I know at the company I work for, we have more work than we can do. However, the execs have kept clamping down on hiring. It doesn't make sense to me, because for every employee we hire, we could make more money on them. So I think that kind of pressure will eventually turn into a surge in hiring.
