I understand why some people are upset at Karen, but when she says its possible that some American soldiers could have deliberately killed journalists, I think its like saying "its possible that aliens could have visited the earth in the past". IMO she is acknowledging that such things are possible and that she doesn't have specific evidence that any statement saying they occurred is a lie. It doesn't mean that she believes that they did happen, or wants other people to believe that they did happen or even that she thinks it is very likely that they did happen.

Also she did explicitly say "He <Eason Jordan> was a real dope to say it" and "I indict him for his professionalism judgment". I would say that journalists shouldn't make such statements if they do not have strong evidence for them. Apparently kholt agrees.
