DELL had some quality and supply issues when MSD recruited Mort...Those were corrected...IMO, AMD's smartest business decision in the last few years was recruiting Mort Topfer to their board of directors...He will be a very active director and he knows how to address key operational and strategic issues...Of course Mort is still a DELL director and I'm sure MSD trusts him...DELL will not buy AMD products until they have confidence that the company can deliver the right product at the right price - in the required volumes....Mort may help AMD get into the position where they can step up to the plate and get a major commitment from DELL....JMHO.

If they started out on the server side, I wonder if they could supply whatever Dell might need since the volumes should be significantly smaller than on the box side???

Best regards,
John
