I remember that incident during the first stages of the war in Iraq.

They must have forgiven him......he's been there with the troops lately doing his schtick.

I saw Giraldo's report. He took a stick & drew a crude map in
the sand. I thought nothing of it at the time since they
could have been located +/-25 miles from his general
description of things. Yes, it was stupid & Giraldo did
apologize.

When it became an issue, I thought that they should throw out
most of the journalists then. I saw numerous reports where
their verbal description (we're headed northwest at about 15
mph - we're about 5 miles south of Basra on xxx road, etc.),
coupled with live video that would give the enemy multiple
landmarks to ID their location & direction.

IMO, Giraldo was reporting for FOX, so the MSM jumped all
over it. And as usual they made sure they didn't report what
their journalists were doing that was far more dangerous.
