The talk given by Dr. Crichton was not about his latest or any of his works of fiction. It was a well presented discussion of the problems in the creation policy by a world full of technology ignoramus of which you seem to be a member. In this talk Dr. Crichton uses the example of the 1998 Mann study as a hilarious and criminal??? use of fiction presented as fact that has the UN and the techno ignoramus of the world still ranting global warming caused by man's activities. The point is the methods used by Mann went tested objectively reveal the results and thus the conclusion implied are simply junk science. From aei-brookings.org Science Policy in the 21st Century page one can find a link to a 30 page transcript of Dr. Crichton's presentation and any individual with a wit of science comprehension will know with certainty Dr. Crichton is a techology intelligensia in addition to a marvelous author of science fiction. I know I am also a techology intelligensia and that is why I am not afraid to post my opinions using my real identity. The quite scientic comclusion of Dr. Crichton is that no science or data exists the shows with any probability that current recent observations of Earth Climate are caused by green house gasses. That we don't have the science now means we should attempt to get the science until such time as we have a clearer picture. But putting in place things like the kyoto bla bla farce is a waste of time and money and will simply kill millions.
