We were discussing why black students might do less well on law school exams. My suggestion is that they might not be plugged into the Old Boy network as well, so might not realize that merely getting the answer right is not sufficient to excel

Ahhh, gotcha.

I think I lucked out in picking the University of Utah, it isn't so "Old Boy", it's very cooperative. Everyone shares outlines freely. The SBA even maintains a TWEN website on Westlaw to distribute outlines from 2Ls and 3Ls for the 1Ls. I think it's the West, much more laid back here. The classes are small (30-60), and the profs and admin really bend over backwards for us. Definately relieves some of the unneccesary pressure of the law school culture.
