I think the best comparisions of Bush and Hitler are their political chops. Hitler rode the Riechstag fire to big political capital, just as Bush used 9/11 to sell America on invading Iraq. No matter how much the Repugnicans try to re-write history, America NEVER would have agreed to invade Iraq to "free the iraqi people", neither the Congress or the people. Bush is no Hilter. Hitler was a published author who served time in prison for HIS insane beliefs. Hitler served with honor in WW I and was wounded in battle. Hitler initiated the holocaust - all Bush has done is cut taxes, invade a very minor country by mistake and attempt to destroy Social Security while running the largest deficits in history. Most of the comparisons of Bush and Hitler to me are really comparisons of the Karl Rove political method and the Goebells political method. Very similar. Comparisons of Bush with Hitler are silly, Bush is no Hitler. I think the real comparison is whether you and your ilk are as hypnotized as the Germans were in the thirties? I really doubt the Bushies will have as terrible an effect as the Nazis, but who knows what will emerge from such a bunch of liars and idealogical zealots?
