I think US courts would be more in line with the Geico decision than the French court. But you never know with les Francaises LOL. If the French courts allow for massive damages, and the US courts do not, it will create some interesting enforcement issues and interesting international law questions.

It could lead to a line at the top of the google page that says, "French are not allowed to use this service."

This would be just as effective as the Chinese closing internet cafes or saying that their people can't view pornographic or western web sites.
