Wow, its been a number years since we last visited Yellowstone, but we stayed a week and my wife who is nuts over geysers insisted we hike all over the place to observe them. We traversed areas now mentioned as off limits in the article. Really sorry to read about this, I had no idea. jdn

Ground temp 200 degrees? Over miles of ground. Ouch
Is this little a hint, a gentle nudge, or does Mother N have to blow something up to get our attention. Is anybody there listening ? Other than the animals which have decided to leave the dang place.

Yellowstone National Park happens to be on top of one of the largest “super volcanoes” in the world
