Can more than one or two Democrats have backbone? Define "pretty speeches" my friend. Bayhe and Durbin are very good men. I absorb their words like a sponge. Watch them more than many. Tell me why Barack did not inspire you to consider him as a contender. Maybe a ton of honkies wouldn't vote for him.
Some may not have the "it" in it to win the big one. Barbara B. is about 65 I think and may not be able to be President.
I'd like to pick her up in my arms and twirl her around and laugh afterwards.

We need a Seabisquit.

<Not interested in awarding pretty speeches.> ... Nor I .....

.......... I kind of like Obama. But I'm not jumping on any parade float just yet, mind you. I think the whole Democratic Party needs to wake up and figure out how to respond to the fascist ways of the GOP: voter suppression, disinformation, removal of civil liberties, irrational defense (or is it offense?) spending, . . . .

Bayh? I don't know. Isn't he just Birch Bayh's son? I don't get this children of famous people advancing in US society. Powell at FCC, Andrea Koppell of CNN, Rehnquist's daughter (?), and some chimp in the White House. The nepotistic operation blows on all levels.

Oh well.
