Do you believe a 12 year old is able to intelligently consent to having sex with someone 20 years older than he is? Someone in a position of influence and authority over him? I do believe some 12 year olds are, yes. Whether this one was I can't say. Not enough facts. But I have known 12 year olds perfectly capable of making mature decisions at that level. After all, it wasn't long ago in history, as history runs, that marriage at age 11 or 12 was perfectly normal.

Do you believe a 12 year old is able to intelligently consent to having sex with someone 20 years older than he is? The operative word here is intelligently. Obviously the young man consented to it. As far as I know there was no rape involved, and I'm wondering if it's possible for a woman to rape a man...I know some claim it to be possible. I know that when I was 12, I certainly had interest in girls. I had to use the notebook to hide the big woody many times. ;^) There would have been very little coersion required by some of my foxy teachers. Now is it right for a woman to have sex with a 12 year old? No it's not...that's why we have laws against that...to protect the minor. I know that if one of those foxy young teachers offered it up to me when I was 12 it would have been a done deal, the law be damned. Unfortunately for me all my teachers were law abiding sorts. ;^) Orca
