Let me recommend a book ralphi, or anyone. MUSASHI. My favorite book af all time!

This is the most popular book in Japan. It is the book Shogun was based on, I think. The author is Eiji Yoshikawa.

It is based on a real life 17th century Samuari who had 100 fights and never lost and was a great sculpture. He also wrote the book the 5 rings.

And women like this book?? The author writes as well as Shakespear, but makes every page amazingly intersting. It is a page turner.

He writes using just a touch of surrellism. Very light. Somemthing western writers do not as a rule do. But it adds great flavor. He also writes as a student of zen, which is very refreshing and insightful. And as a very compassionate man!

He was born in 1882 and lived until 1962. I would have loved to meet this man. So amazingly insightful! He stands beside Einstein and Neils Bohr as my heros.
