There's a sharp difference of opinion among scientists about global warming and the risks it may pose.

There may be a debate about the rate of change, but there is an overwhelming consensus in the scientific community on this topic.

But Science Magazine does go on to say:

The scientific consensus might, of course, be wrong. If the history of science teaches anything, it is humility, and no one can be faulted for failing to act on what is not known.

The overwhelming majority of people who devote their lives to this study seem to agree.
