Lefty Scott the nativist Buchananite. Absolutely boggles the mind. Buchanans only positive in this debate is in asking wilsonians, fdr dems, and neocons not to carried away with the democracy stuff if our interests deem it dangerous. The problem with buchanan and with the newlibs is in the way they define those interests and not with the notion of realism in fp. The new left is against the use of american power against almost ever "revolutionary group", against whatever israel is for, against capitalism, and against democracy where jews or shiaa arabs or kurds are involved. mike
