Hi rchlrvn,

I screen mostly on the basis of charts/technicals and setups.

Occasionally I might buy (or short) something based on other things.

Sometimes I will go looking for a setup within a sector that has itself become a setup (long or short).

Beyond that, I try to align myself with the market trends, so I won't go short in a strongly uptrending market, and I won't go long in a market in a tailspin even if it has started a short-term relief rally (that's a fool's game because the volatility works heavily against you).

Market cap makes zero difference to me, provided a stock has a decent float that makes manipulation difficult. I very rarely trade BB, OTC, or penny stocks for that reason.

Hope this helps,

T
