"have you ever noticed that "personal space" is so much bigger in the US?" Every culture has different space requirements. Yes, I know and most educated people know that from reading if not from personal experience. But I still find it amazing that my European friends travelling frequently to the US never noticed or at least they tell me so when asked. The personal space requirements in the countries of Western Europe are very similar but the difference between East and West Coasts of the US and Europe is very noticeable indeed. Taro
