Well, I guess comparing with the per capita rolls of TP used by the Americans, Chinese are still way behind<g>

And generally speaking, people in Chinese rural areas did not use TP before. As for what they used, use your imagination<g>

And since 1978, 300+ million Chinese farmers migrate to the urban areas, so they become civilized<g>. No big deal-ggg

And BTW, some paper mills already have to use newly planted small trees to make paper since most of forest (except a couple of protected areas) in China has already gone.
