mishedlo, If you live around Chicago, then you don't have to buy organic meat - midwestern steak tastes the best, just like organic meat. I discovered this is true for foreign countries as well - the middle regions tend to have good grain feed and more open land that makes the meat taste better than west coast meat. There's a really good restaurant nearby the Chicago art museum - Bergoffs (sp?) that has great steak or chicken.

Most grocery store butchers will take the steaks you hand them and grind them up for no extra charge. My parents & sister do this all the time. My wife and I don't bother because we hardly buy any hamburger -- our burgers are almost always Gardenburgers.
