Where have I defended the food for oil program?

If you ask the question, then you probably have not. It was not my intention to make false accusations. I know that you have defended the UN in the past.

I believe that the UN or a UN like organization is needed to keep this planet on a stabile road. That does not mean I agree with everything the UN does nor do I support any corruption that it encourages.

I am curious about the alleged malfeasance with reconstruction funds. What puzzles me more is why the FMSM media have not been covering it. If it were a real story that would make the President look bad, you know they would be all over it like flies on manure.

Yup. That's what has me worried. The mainstream press is afraid to fight Bush. The European press has been having a field day with this story but most of the American media has been quiet.

You are so intent on proving the the mainstream press is anti Bush that you don't realize how much the American press has become compromised over the past 5 years. Often, the foreign breaks important stories that the American press won't touch, or only talks about after the fact. To stay in tune with what's really going on in the world, I turn to the foreign press, particularly the Brits. For me, the American press has become pathetic. FOX is firmly in the pro Bush camp. The rest of the majors are trying to remain neutral but in doing so, are failing to require an honest accounting from Bush. I am stunned by the fear the main stream press is exhibiting under this president.
