"That what sexual practices we choose to abhor is a cultural, not an inherent human choice."

It is inherently human to promote noble life that is respectful of progeny and the community that will thrive according to a particular model of sharing and caring for one another. In our culture that model is viewed as a family centered and valued community that thrives mainly through support and encouragement, to strengthen community bonds that are based in extended familial richness that has anchorage in historical and social evolution, and which strives to envision better circumstances going forward into the future. Tolerance of alternatives are also a valued principle in such a culture. Promotion of alternatives as the accepted norm is counter to it.

The conditions under which some boys were sexualized by dominant older boys or men in Greek culture was brutal and useful only in making them more hardened warriors (if they survived). So what?
