Unless there are extraordinary circumstances, no. (See my post to Bill on that.)

Were there extraordinary circumstances in this case? Not that I know of.

But does that mean I think it should be a criminal act? Not necessarily. There are many things I think are wrong that aren't criminal.

Let's put the question the other way. Do you believe that every 12 year old should be prohibited at the point of a gun (which is in the end the ultimate power of law) from having sex with a 33 year old teacher no matter how much he may desire it, and even if he is emotionally and intellectually able to make that decision for himself?
