The only thing they have to take control of his their image. They also must reaffirm their belief in their philosophy. The right has persuaded them that that philosophy is wrong. The only thing wrong is that the Dems are starting to believe them.

I disagree. I don't know of any Dems who are starting to believe things simply because the right is telling them to believe in it. Maybe you're talking about defeatism, which isn't the fault of the right.


Whether they believe what the GOP is telling them or not, it effects how they view their own value. The targets of propaganda and half truths don't have to believe it to be negatively impacted. It has become much less popular to be a Dem and a liberal in these disunited states.

To overcome it, I believe they will have to reaffirm their own beliefs and then proceed to put an effective voice to it. And then, they will have to learn how not to hear what's coming from the GOP juggernaut.
