Well, I'll tell you why gay people choose to be gay, if you can tell me why some people choose to get tattoos all over their body. Or maybe you can tell me why some people choose to be terrorists, while the majority of us are peaceful? Fringe groups exists within humanity. As the song goes, "People are strange." I'm not surprised by any of the choices people make.

Its not the same as getting a 'too or getting pierced. Being gay is not a fashion accessory.......its a way of life.

By the way, the estimates that I've seen are closer to 10% of the population are gay.

The estimates range from 10-20% of the population. One of the reasons they think the percentage is closer to 20% is because most surveys get a 12-15% response rate. They figure another 5% are in the closet......both married and single.......who are afraid to admit who they are. Apparently, they regretted making the choice you think they made once they had a chance to think about it. <g>

But no one knows for sure what proportion of the population is gay.
