Yeah, also, if there were any reason to believe that the Israelis were responsible, the Arabs would be all over Israel. The fact that the Lebanese are confident it was Syria is enough for me.

Israel would be idiotic to kill this guy. He was anti-Syrian occupation. He had Western leanings. He wanted to restore democracy to Lebanon and kick the Syrians out. Israel had everything to gain by supporting him and everything to lose by killing him.

All the more reason to kill him. Israel would like nothing better than for us to invade Syria. Killing this guy is very typical of the kind of work Mossad does. Sharon sees an ally in Bush and he's liking it very much.

I've learned that nothing is ever how it seems in the ME. Hamas could also be the guilty party....working with Hezbollah.....trying to stir up the pot.

Who ever is responsible knew that Syria would get the blame. That we know for sure.
