I would never question his intellect or his stance on human rights. It takes a lot more than that to be a successful leader.

Is he for financial equality at any cost or would he set the conditions that would allow anyone to succede if they choose that for themselves..

What is his stance on abortion. Does he just fall inline with the (one month pregneant, eight months pregneant... do what you want, its your body) or does this guy have some sensible well thought out positions that a majority of the population could stomach.

What is his stance on free trade? The currnt path of transfering our knowledge base overseas so our kids can get work outsourced to them by the next big companies created overseas from governments that are not dumb enough to transfer the knowledge back to the usa or can he provide real leadership in this area?

How about affirmative action? Does he toe the party line on that or can he provide real leadership..

Would he have taken Milosovich out? Would he have taken the Taliban out? Are his only means to resolve an issue through negotiation or can the guy take a swing..

What is his stance on terrorism? Can he provide real leadership on that issue and real alternatives to the foolish mistakes bush has made?? I don't think I have heard of any democrat that has offered up alternatives on how to win that war.

Those are some of the things I wonder about when I think of Barack. I like the guy but when I think of real issues I really don't get the feeling he is the guy that can come in and provide real leadership and sell the country on alternative and smarter ways to deal with these and many other issues... That is what I meant when I said he may turn out to be a hollow character.

I viewed Kerry as being rather hollow. If he would have stood up to the swift boat veterans before they kicked his ass back to where he was before the primaries, If he would have said something to the country on how now, he might handle his stance on the VN war differently now that he is older and smarter, if he could have countered bush when bush said "You can't be a leader when you diss the coalition that you have.... Kerry would have won....
