He was saying (major paraphrase) "hey, we want Democracies? Give the vote to Pakistan tomorrow, and you will have the MOST fundamental Islam government in the world, with a bunch of nukes and the folks that are crazy enough to use them". No clue of diplomacy; no respect for what got us where we are (were?) in the world. Realpolitik is dead, we are driven by Christian and democratic evangelist ideology. And the end game is a disaster.
