JF, What people want to hear is not necessarily what they need to hear. The truth. Truth may be lost in the competition for ratings.

I think you have it backwards. People want to hear the truth. What they get is the same old rhetoric, the same old B.S. that passes as "news analysis."

At least FOXNews broke out of the mold in a certain way, even if the quality of their reporting leaves a lot to be desired.

I've seen a distinct change since the election, especially on CNBC.

They get their ad bucks from ratings, they perceive a move right in their viewers, they are playing to the what they perceive their audience wants to hear.


I've seen a change even before the election last fall. I think you're right that they are concerned about ratings but I also think they are scared.
