I am all for giving people a 2nd chance, but let me remind everyone ...

Torture, American Style
nytimes.com

EXCERPT:
"Any government that commits, condones, promotes or fosters torture is a malignant force in the world. And those who refuse to raise their voices against something as clearly evil as torture are enablers, if not collaborators.

There is a widespread but mistaken notion in the U.S. that everybody seized by the government in its so-called war on terror is in fact somehow connected to terrorist activity. That is just wildly wrong."

Anyone who voted for Bush and wants a 2nd chance should APOLOGIZE to America and this thread.

It is my understanding that the ignore feature is for that person only who uses it. What about the rest who visit the thread.

I think there is no reason whatsoever for someone to be derogatory or write in a manner which ridicules one's personality or religion or nationality. As much us we advocate the right to free speech, I think we should also ensure that these rights do not encroach on the rights of others to have a free a wholesome discussion without the fear of ridicule and personal insults and attacks.
