I certainly can understand that a topic took a different angle than you originally intended. I've had that happen as well. However, in the future, you may want to be less protective of your pride and be more forthright with your thought process in an effort to avoid these long running discussions that get blown off course because people are passionate about their positions. How is that for a run-on sentence!
