I think that's a good point Earl. And may be one reason the investigators were kept away from all the steel except a few hand picked pieces as the rest was secreted away to guarded dump sites before being shipped to China as scrap salvage and melted down. I guess if it was shipped to a US scrap yard someone who cared might have gotten a look at it. Maybe even tested some surfaces for residue of explosive material like C-4.
