Good Post Steve. So lets accept your premise that this war has created a new terror base and new terrorist who post-war, win or lose will be "out" there. What do you do now? If we are all to be realists, it is the currrent reality we have to examine. If you said pre-war that the war would shouldnt be fought because it would create a next generation of terrorists, you were apparently right given no wmds. But it is not enough to trumpet this, you have to come up with something better now and i am not at all sure that pulling out right now minimizes future terrorists. On the contrary it would probably give them great confidence.
My view is that we should do the timetable thing and be prepared to be out in a fixed time. For me this will give us the best shot in forcing the new iraq to fight the terrorists. Mike
