i expect they picked age 55 because they do not have enough to take care of existing people in an age group lower without raising the caps and maybe age. It will be interesting to see if any changes are made to soc sec this year. Appears the democrats are unwilling to make any changes to soc sec but rather wait for a democrat president to be elected to get credit for saving soc sec. democrats are not acting in public best interest by opening up soc sec to discuss rather they are playing politics.
