He went for a breezy style, no doubt at his editor's request. I don't like that approach. The underlying ideas are worth discussing, but that format doesn't lead to discussion.

The idea of "Nixon in Iran and China" are at least different than anything being discussed now.

I don't think so. It makes too much sense.

No wonder he does not have a job in the administration.

He is an outsider looking in. He might as well be a far out lefty as far as his influence goes.
