The Dalles is horrid. I went there for a week long conference at the college, and it was one of the worst weeks of my life. Stifling hot and humid, far worse than I ever experienced in the NY and DC areas, which were my previous record for miserably hot and humid. (I was riding the Staten Island Ferry during rush hour in NY during the time we had eight days of 100+ temperatures in a row. Those boats were packed, and they aren't air conditioned. Talk about miserable!)

Anyhow, anybody who wants to move to or anywhere near the Dalles needs to have their head examined.

JMHO.
