And John Kerry falls to the right of center...

And I'm in the same exact place as the Dalai Lama!!!

Peter, thanks for the link. My score was in the center basically. It sounds like combjelly (center left), zosilence (center left, where is the link for Dalai Lama on the chart?) and yourself (center right) were pretty much in the center too - funny considering how we all have so much to debate.

RE: "Those with the ability to pay should have the right to higher standards of medical care."

What do you think of the wording of this question that was in the test? I thought it was worded in a biased way, for example, people might answer the question differently if it were worded as:

"Those with a strong desire to get extra medical care for a particular ailment should be able to do so by paying more money, rather than being forced into a system where such an option isn't allowed."

RE" "In a civilised society, one must always have people above to be obeyed and people below to be commanded."

Who would say "yes" to this question?

Regards,
Amy J

And the Political Compass correctly lists John Kerry as a moderate Right-Winger.

Only in America could Howard Dean and John Kerry be called "liberals" by our outright fraudulent and propagandistic media.

Peter,

I really doubt this chart has much value. For one, I too got an almost exact match with Kerry, even though I voted for Bush.

Then, forcing you to choose between four idiotic answers, without "none of the above" or "don't care" or "don't have strong feelings one way or another" just magnifies the error greatly.

Also, I consider myself, on balance, more to the right than where the chart placed me, and on balance, either on zero or slightly on libertarian side. But that quadrant is basically empty, which shows a problem with how the questions and potential answers were constructed.

Another thing is that there are various "spheres" of life, where a person may be very authoritarian on certain issues and very libertarian on others. Blending all may show a person to be in the middle, while he is a composition of 2 extremes.
