Hey, how about Bush et al assuming that Iraq was going to be an easy win? They made the assumption that the war would take 1.5 weeks and cost about $1.5 billion and that Iraq would be paying us back with all that oil. They predicted that they just had to lop the head of the snake off and people would be cheering us in the streets with flowers and flags.

After their initial idiocy was pointed out by the facts, they then went on to predict the 'end of major combat operations' two years ago. After that next idiocy was pointed out by the facts, they then went on to predict that the capture of Saddam, the handing over of sovereignty, the elections, etc. etc. would lead to some MAGICAL WONDERLAND.

None of these assumptions had any basis in fact which just goes to show that Bush et al are:

- lazy beyond belief
- delusional
- are completely and absolutely unable to admit mistakes and thus to correct them

Does anyone remember that one of the original plans was to place a US Military Governor at the head of each of the provinces? Yep, that guy/gal would have lasted a week.
