>>Anyway, how about Sony Vaio notebooks for your clients that need a PC notebook? I know Sony gets ragged on here a bit <g>, but I personally have used both Dell and Sony notebooks, and I've been happier with the Sony product. In fact, I recently bought a T150 P/L notebook for traveling (this was before I became an AAPL shareholder!), and I've been extremely happy with it. Any particular reason you recommend Dell?<<

IHSC -

I haven't really had much experience with Sonys in the past few years. If the buyer wanted to go to a store and try things out, we probably would have considered them. But she had already been to the Gateway and Dell sites, and basically just wanted to know which of those two brands to get.

I should point out that she had gone to the Apple store at The Grove (their flagship store in this area), and the salesperson she talked to there had told her that all the dictation software available for the Mac sucks. She said that those were his actual words.

Thanks for the input about Sony. I'll take a closer look at them before recommending Dell again.
