OK, Don, you've represented old data that establishes the baseline (though not without dispute - see earlier discussions on this board). Now the question is, what will happen to market share with mini-Mac? Stay tuned.

Don,

Look at software sales 2000 - 2005
MP3 player sales 2002 - 2005
Music sales 2003-2005

Look at growth there and growth in CPU units during the current fiscal year. Those sales will seem weak compared with 2006 and 2007. In 2008, you can look that up - I am just giving you a heads up :).

You're all about history. Look at the present and the future.

The halo effect (which will turn into the snowball effect), will take care of CPU sales just fine - as will CPU's at lower prices than Apple has ever offered. Stop obsessing.

Thanks for the links, Don. Very interesting! I like the pegasus one especially. Though, Dvorak did have some strong points.

I saved the pegasus link in the Computers & Electronics section of my "Library" column on my Bookmarks Bar in Safari. Great historical reference!
