Jacobs made the point that English-only classes result in greater English proficiency. There was some question about that? It's almost too obvious to write about.

What was not address is a comparison of how well students learn the material that is the subject of the classes that are being taught in English or their native language. Have they learned their biology as well in English than they would in another language? She doesn't say. Seems to me that that would be a factor for the "bi-lingual crowd."
