A very short AP story in our local newspaper said it "was caused by a broken blood vessel in his head.....the partial paralysis and vision problems have apparently resolved themselves. Tedy is in good condition and as always, his spirits are high....He is walking and talking normally".

If the root cause was a clot, he'll probably end up on coumadin (blood thinners). If he's on blood thinners, it's highly doubtful he'll play again.

I've been on coumadin since I was 31. I had a DVT (clot) in my leg which broke off and ended up lodged in my lung (pulmonary embolism). The doctor stresses the need to give up all high risk activity due to the risk of hemmorage.
