equal outcome for equal ability and freedom for all

Hmmm. I don't recall the founding fathers equating outcome to ability.

Wasn't it more like, "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal."

And certainly we all do not have equal abilities. Some are more able than others. But in God's eye all men are created equal, and certainly in the eyes of all godly men all men are created equal.

The equal outcome for equal ability thing is definitely a republican concept. Certainly Bush has not attained an outcome according to his abilities...unless of course you include with his abilities that fact that he comes from an extremely wealthy and influencial family.
