And not to confuse the German Neo Nazi movement with socialism.

At least they believe Socialism is part of their message. So did Hitler and his cronies.

Right! And the Pope is Muslim. Its not unusual for the bad guys to present a gentler, more compassionate side to the world........hence, the Democratic in the German Democratic Republic name.

The real question here is why do you choose to believe them?

Until other issues took over and pushed the socialistic component on the back burner until after the war won. I suspect Socialism had a different meaning back in the early 30s as compared to today. Or how about "liberal"? I recall back in the early 50s, when in the UK the 3 parties were Labour, Liberals and Conservatives. No way those libs had the slightest socialistic component. or at the same time the US Democrats (Truman) or Conservatives (Eisenhower)...compare that to same parties today.

You're rambling. By your own admission, you are not a political scientist. Your ramblings confirm that admission.

Whoever claims like most libs, that only the good old GOP as represented by the "neo-cons and the Bush Gang" sled off to extreme positions, is a case for the straight jacket. For not seeing how far out to the left a fraction of the dems have gone.

I am afraid liberals are looking so liberal only because Bush and his cronies have gone so far right on some issues that liberals can't help but look extreme by comparison. Its what makes Peter believe he's a centrist. Its why so many in the US are worried.
