Geez, Al, all Clinton had to do was sign the dotted line on projects that were already identified as needs by the Pentagon, and he gets your credit for "modernizing the military"? Puh-leaze.

You are so stuck in your hatred for this man you have to dismiss the good things he did to some sinister motive.

Actually, you were the one who posted the link accusing Clinton of increasing defense spending just to cover up a Lewinsky.

Stop being so defensive and relax. I agree that Clinton had enough justification at the time to cut back on defense spending. However, the bone he tossed to the Lewinsky-chasing dogs was nothing more than politics. It doesn't prove or disprove the notion that Clinton wanted to "gut the military."
