MOSUL, Iraq (Reuters) - Four U.S. soldiers were killed in separate guerrilla attacks in Iraq, the U.S. military said Friday, three in or near the northern city of Mosul and the fourth in a roadside bomb blast north of Baghdad.

My friend who's stationed in Mosul says that things are getting worse and that the forces are being spread out more and more thinly. I'm worried about him.

I am worried too. And its not even about the ones who are dying.........that's bad enough. But its the ones who are coming back missing arms and legs or both. And then there is the recently returned soldier here who killed his wife and kids two weeks ago.

I really hope they believe in what they are doing as much as people say they do. If they believed like I do, they would have be some very angry people right about now.

I hope your friend is okay. When did you last hear from him?
