Who do they think will fall for such tripe? How do you stop this?

They say that people have to view an ad something like nine times before they really take notice of it. I'm now up to 33 DBSJ spams, 29 of which were able to avoid my two spam filters (ISP and local level). With penny stocks, the company is almost always pure hype anyhow, so it often comes down to which ones look like they have momentum. Get enough people to throw just a few hundred at a stock and it'll start moving up real quick. Get a stock moving, and you'll have even more people jumping in.

The only way you stop spam is sue the spammers like Microsoft is doing. So it took some real guts (or idiocy) to spam DBSJ to the extent they have. As I've never gotten this level of spam, either an established spammer has finally figured out a way to beat the filters, or someone new is in the game. I'm curious to see if/when the anti-spam sites take notice.
