The left does not want to admit that freeing Iraq and the six and a half million citizens was a good thing. Yes, a free and democratic Iraq will add pressure on the dictatorships surrounding it. A domino effect is likely. Wouldn't a free and democratic Lebanon be awesome?

When I was at the gym today, they showed some Shiites celebrating their win in the election last month. They were waving what looked to be a big stick or maybe a sword. As they got closer, I saw red all over their faces. I wanted why they had painted themselves. Then I realized they were all bloody from hitting their heads. And you think they are less violent than the Sunnis? I don't know many people who are into self flagellation as much as they are. That doesn't strike as a sign of a peaceful people....but then, that's just me. ;~) ted
