We don't really have winter, we cool off when the cold fronts come, but in between fronts we can, and do, hit in the 80s.

An article in the latest Scientific American argues that human farming activity has been modifying the earth's climate for thousands of years. The clearing and farming activities resulting in increase in CO2 levels and the rise of rice culture increased the methane level. The authors point to the decrease in CO2 levels when the plagues were cutting the population density as proof...
