Perhaps if more stop buying nyt they may move more to the middle.

The dead tree edition fits it's market perfectly. 80% of NYC agrees with it. I remember Faultline, who lives in SF, saying when he first started the FA thread, that he subscibed and thought it was middle of the road. JohnM's attitude has always been that "if it wasn't in the NYT, it didn't happen."

My beef is that it frames the stories for the rest of the media.
